October Is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

& National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Fund Free Mammograms

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammograms
in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

Purpose

NOW is an action organization.  Please join us as we fight discrimination against women.  We seek social, political, economic and legal equality between women, men, girls and boys through grassroots organizing, networking, research, public policy, lobbying, litigation, court watches, protests and demonstrations.

Meetings

Meetings are centered around topics of interest to members of Cobb County NOW and their associates. NOW has addressed, sexual harassment, discrimination, the backlash against women in divorce and custody cases, racist, anti-gay and anti-elderly images in the media, and screens cutting edge documentaries about feminism and oppression, among other timely topics. You are invited to share stories, find moral support, exchange strategies and spread the word that women still have a long way to go.
